The Tri Hard way

I strive to adhere to a few guidelines that I’ve established for myself. I understand that these may differ from practices used by other breeders. I'm always open to discussing these guidelines if you believe another approach is worth considering!

01

High quality - low quantity

I've decided to limit my gecko pairings to a maximum of 12 each season after assessing the time, space, and overall demand. This ensures that I can provide each gecko with the care they deserve untill they are ready to go to their new owners.

02

Bio-active enclosures

I keep all my adult and sub adults in fully bio-active enclosures. My goal is to eventually house everything over 5 grams this way.

03

Extensive lineage

Lineage is essential to me. While it doesn't have to come from well-known or established lines, it is important to have lineage to ensure that I am not breeding geckos that are closely related. Another factor is that you can build much more consitent lines when knowing what traits the show and what traits they might carry.

04

Building quality over generations

I focus solely on one-to-one pairings to maximize the number of unrelated offspring. This approach allows me to gradually develop my own lines over time. This also makes that males and females have the same value to me.

05

A single offspring to continue the bloodline

Once I form a pair, I keep them together unless there's a specific reason to split them. I breed each pair for a maximum of two seasons, after which I choose one offspring to carry on my breeding program.
